 IPL Winners List: IPL 2023 is over. It started with the name of Indian Premier League and has successfully completed 16 seasons so far and is known as the most expensive cricket league in the world. Let's know who won the title from the first season of IPL till now.

IPL Winners List: Indian Premier League first started in 2008. There are many teams that have stood since then. Some teams left in the middle. Some have changed names. In the history of IPL, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings have won five titles each in the total of 16 seasons, while the remaining six titles have gone to other teams.

IPL Season 1 was held for the first time in 2008. In the final of IPL 2008, Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals teams faced each other. Batting first, CSK scored 163 runs in the stipulated 20 overs..Rajasthan Royals won the last ball and became the first champion. 

In 2009, in the final of IPL season 2, Deccan Chargers Hyderabad or now Sunrisers Hyderabad beat RCB by 6 runs and won the title. 

In 2010, in the final of IPL season 3, Chennai Super Kings won the title for the first time by defeating Mumbai Indians by 22 runs. 

In 2011, Chennai Super Kings won the title once again in IPL season 4. It became the team that won the title twice in a row. In this match, they won against RCB by 58 runs in the final. 

In 2012, Kolkata Knight Riders won the title for the first time with a 5-wicket win over the defending champions Chennai Super Kings in IPL season 5. 

In 2013, Mumbai Indians won the first title by winning by 23 runs in the final against Chennai Super Kings in IPL season 6. 

In 2014 IPL Season 7, Kolkata Knight Riders won the title by winning against Punjab Kings XI by 3 wickets. 

In 2015, the Mumbai Indians won the title by beating the Chennai Super Kings by 41 runs in the 8th season of the IPL. 

In 2016, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the final against Royal Challengers Bangalore by 8 runs in IPL season 9 and became the IPL champion. 

Mumbai Indians beat Rising Pune Supergiants by a single run to win the title in IPL season 10 in 2017. 

In 2018 IPL Season 11, Chennai Super Kings won the title after winning against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

In 2019, IPL Season 12 Final was between Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings. Mumbai Indians won the title by 1 run off the last ball. 

In 2020 IPL season 13, Delhi Capitals vs Mumbai Indians match, Mumbai Indians won by 5 wickets and became champions for the fifth time. 

Chennai Super Kings won the title for the fourth time by winning by 27 runs in the final match of IPL season 14 in 2021 against Kolkata Knight Riders.

In 2022, for the first time in IPL season 15 , Gujarat Titans reached the finals with the IPL debutant and won the first title by beating Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets in the final. 

And in 2023, Chennai Super Kings won the title for the fifth time after winning the IPL season 16 against the defending champion Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets.
